Installation

The Armor Lid features a No Drill Installation by clamping the mounts onto your bed rails. The mounts bolt onto your truck bed and the tonneau cover slides into the hinges at the front of your bed while the struts latch onto the mounts clamped on your bed rails.

• Chevy models with factory tailgate fin protector must be removed. You can replace fin with aftermarket tailgate protector.
• Dodge models with factory tailgate fin protector must be removed. You can replace fin with aftermarket tailgate protector.
• Will not fit the 2006 Ford Ranger, STX model.
• If you have a tailgate cap wider than 2 inches, you may have to remove prior to installation

Warranty

Terms

PTI, Inc. warrants that the ABS truck tonneau cover ARMOR LID will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the retail date of purchase. The gas struts are warranted for two (2) years from the retail date of purchase. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Warranty must be claimed with original sales receipt for proof of purchase.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover failure due to neglect, improper installation including any modifications to installation hardware, operating the truck with your ARMOR LID in the open position, alterations, addition of equipment, abuse, accident, corrosion, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, and exposure to chemicals that are not safe for plastics.

Incidental or consequential damage or loss of contents due to use, neglect, lack of maintenance, misuse of ARMOR LID tonneau is sole responsibility of the truck owner and operator. Paint wear to the truck bed can happen with any truck tonneau cover and is the sole responsibility of the truck owner. Paint damage to your truck is not covered under this warranty.

Maintenance

Your ARMOR LID tonneau cover only requires periodic cleaning with mild car wash soap. Only use cleaners, waxes, or products that are labeled safe for use on plastics Avoid the use of any chemicals to clean your ARMOR LID unless labeled safe for plastics Avoid use of abrasive type cleansers as they may dull the finish.

The gas struts are self lubricating and should only be cleaned occasionally with a damp cloth. Premature seal failure will result if solvents or lubricants are used to clean struts.

The locking mechanisms only require occasional lubrication with lithium grease as needed. All installation hardware and fasteners must be checked every so often for tightness.

Warning!

When in the closed position, tonneau cover must be locked and tailgate must be closed! Failure to do so could result in unexpected opening of the tonneau cover from sudden wind gusts, which could cause damage to the truck and/or your tonneau cover.

• military bases / installations
• camps, parks
• churches
• individual mini-storage units
• prisons
• schools
• Indian reservations
• farms, ranches, fairs, carnivals and chautauquas

In addition to the list above, a "limited access" location is defined as meeting any of the following conditions:

1. Not open to the walk-in public during normal business hours
2. Not having personnel readily available to assist with pickup or delivery
3. Not having access to a loading / unloading dock or platform
4. Sites where extensive security related inspections and processes are required before pickup or delivery can be performed.
